Two epic title sequences that must be noted. The first is from the legendary Dexter. Who knew a morning routine could be so sinister. These titles grab the audience and let them know that this is not a normal routine - full of texture and atmosphere, I think this is my favourite title sequence of all time.

This second video is taken from the True Blood introduction. The cinematography in this short sequence is perfect - each shot, and its composition, has obviously been carefully developed to create precisely the right atmosphere. The disjointed, twitching shots help develop a distinct tone of voice as well.

Maybe not as subtle as Dexter, but still a brilliant way to set the tone for the series. The song, by Jace Everett, enforces this eerie atmosphere, but keeps the tempo up, and adds a slightly light hearted atmosphere. Bolisimo!
